Maintenance and support for the software you depend on
Software that works today still needs care: framework and library updates, browser and operating system changes, a report that slows down as the data grows. We look after business applications, including ones written by someone else, for a monthly fee agreed in advance.
When we take over an application we did not build, we start with a review: how it is built, how it is deployed, where the backups are and what is out of date. You receive the findings in writing, with what needs attention first.
After that, maintenance becomes routine work rather than a series of emergencies. Requests arrive by email, each one is acknowledged and tracked, and you receive a short summary of what was done every month.

How we work
Access to a copy
You give us the source code, a copy of the database with test data and a short description of what is wrong or missing. We sign an NDA first if you want one.
Written diagnosis
We reproduce the problem or review the application and explain in writing what we found, what we propose and at what fixed price.
Changes with tests
Before changing code we add automated tests around the part we touch, then make the change on a copy and show you the result.
Release and follow-up
The change goes live at a time agreed with you, with a short note of what was done. We stay available for the next request.
Price and payment
Payment terms
We ask for 50% to start and 50% on acceptance. The second half is due before go-live and before the source code is handed over. Larger projects are split into milestone payments.
Every proposal states a fixed price for the work it describes, agreed in writing before work starts. If the scope changes, we send a new written quote and wait for your approval before doing the extra work.
Prices exclude VAT.

Do you maintain software written by others?
Yes. We start with a review of the application and tell you in writing what we found before agreeing on the monthly fee.
What does the monthly fee cover?
It is written down before maintenance starts: the updates and checks included, the hours of changes available each month and how requests are handled. Larger changes are quoted separately.
How quickly do you respond?
We reply to requests within one working day. Response times for blocking problems are part of the written agreement.
Can we end the agreement?
Yes, with the notice period stated in the agreement. When maintenance ends, you keep everything: code, documentation and access.

- Make a copy, with test data if you prefer.
- Attach it to the form or to an email, ideally as a password-protected archive with the password sent separately. If you ask, we sign an NDA first.
- Within 48 hours: the assessment and a fixed price for a pilot module.
