Build

Mobile apps for field staff, warehouses and customers

We build apps for iOS and Android with .NET MAUI, a cross-platform framework in C#, so one codebase serves both platforms. When an installable web app is enough, we build a progressive web app (PWA) instead, which needs no app store.

Business apps have different priorities from consumer apps. They must work with a weak signal or none at all, scan a barcode quickly, record a photo of a delivery and send it later, and stay usable outdoors and on the move.

The app is usually one part of a larger system. We build it together with the server side it talks to, or connect it to the system you already have, so that what is recorded in the field reaches the office straight away.

What we deliver

  • An app for iOS and Android

One codebase in C# with .NET MAUI, published on the App Store and Google Play or distributed privately within your company.

  • Or a progressive web app

An app that installs from the browser and works offline, when store distribution is not needed.

  • Offline work and synchronisation

Data stored on the device and synchronised when the connection returns, with conflicts reported rather than overwritten.

  • Device features

Barcode and QR scanning, camera, signatures, location and push notifications, when the job requires them.

  • The server side

The API the app talks to, with logins, permissions and an administration area for the office.

Typical projects

  • Deliveries and proof of delivery

Drivers see their stops, scan parcels, collect a signature and a photo, and the office sees each delivery as it happens.

  • Warehouse stock counts

Staff scan locations and items, record quantities offline and send the count to the stock system when they finish.

  • An app for your customers

Customers check their orders, receive notifications and contact your support from their phone.

How we work

  1. A short written description

Tell us what the software should do, who will use it and which systems or data are involved. Existing spreadsheets, forms or screenshots help more than a long specification.

  2. Proposal with a fixed price

We reply in writing with the scope, the technology, the stages and a fixed price. If something is unclear, we ask in writing before quoting.

  3. A first module on your data

We build the part people will use most and your staff work with it before the rest is built, so the application is shaped by real use.

  4. Delivery in stages

Each stage is tested before it goes live. At the end you receive the source code and the documentation, and we can take care of maintenance.

Price and payment

Payment terms

We ask for 50% to start and 50% on acceptance. The second half is due before go-live and before the source code is handed over. Larger projects are split into milestone payments.

Every proposal states a fixed price for the work it describes, agreed in writing before work starts. If the scope changes, we send a new written quote and wait for your approval before doing the extra work.

Prices exclude VAT.

Questions about this service

Native app or progressive web app?

An app built with .NET MAUI suits daily use, scanning and long periods offline. A progressive web app is quicker to roll out and needs no store approval, and is often enough for occasional use. The proposal recommends one and explains why.

Does the app have to be in the app stores?

Not necessarily. An app for your own staff can be distributed privately. For a public app, we prepare the store listings and handle the submission with your developer accounts.

What happens without a signal?

The app keeps working and stores what is recorded. When the connection returns, it synchronises and reports any conflict instead of overwriting data.

Who keeps the app up to date?

We can, for a monthly fee agreed in advance. iOS and Android release new versions every year, so an app needs regular updates to stay in the stores.

Tell us who will use the app, what they should do with it and whether they work offline. We reply within one working day.

Send us your file

For Access, Excel, VB6, Delphi or older .NET software, you receive a free written assessment within 48 hours of sending the file.

  1. Make a copy, with test data if you prefer.
  2. Attach it to the form or to an email, ideally as a password-protected archive with the password sent separately. If you ask, we sign an NDA first.
  3. Within 48 hours: the assessment and a fixed price for a pilot module.

We work from Italy.
