Data migration and databases, checked record by record
We move data from Access, Excel, Paradox, dBase or an older database to SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL, and we design, clean and tune databases. Before any switch, we show you that nothing was lost or altered.
Copying tables is rarely the hard part of a migration. The work lies in the details: dates stored as text, codes that mean different things in different years, duplicates, and totals that must come out identical. We map every field, agree the conversions with you in writing and run the migration on a copy first.
The result is a reconciliation report, table by table, with record counts and totals on both sides. The final transfer then repeats something that has already been checked.
What it can look like
Migration checks: Access to SQL Server
| Table | Access | SQL Server | OK |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customers | 1,284 | 1,284 | |
| Orders | 48,210 | 48,210 | |
| Order lines | 162,904 | 162,904 | |
| Products | 912 | 912 | |
| Invoice totals | €8,412,330.18 | €8,412,330.18 |
Checks run after a migration from Access to SQL Server. Press the button to run them.
What we deliver
Field-by-field mapping
Every source field mapped to the new database, with the conversions agreed in writing.
Trial runs
The migration run on a copy as many times as needed before the final transfer.
A reconciliation report
Record counts and totals compared table by table, and a list of the anomalies found for you to decide on.
Database design
Tables, keys, constraints and indexes designed for how the data is actually used.
Query and performance tuning
Slow queries measured and rewritten, indexes added where they help.
Typical projects
From Access to SQL Server
Twenty years of orders moved to SQL Server, with every invoice total identical before and after.
Merging two customer lists
Duplicates found and merged with rules you approve, and a list of the doubtful cases.
A slow reporting database
Indexes and summary tables added so that monthly reports run in seconds.

How we work
Map the systems
We list the systems involved, which one owns each piece of data, how records are matched and what happens when one side is unavailable.
Proposal with a fixed price
We reply in writing with the approach (API, webhook, database or file exchange), the stages and a fixed price.
Trial run on a copy
The integration, automation or migration runs first against test data, and you check the result before anything touches live data.
Go-live with monitoring
Every exchange is logged, failures are retried when that is safe and reported when they are not. You receive the documentation.
Price and payment
Payment terms
We ask for 50% to start and 50% on acceptance. The second half is due before go-live and before the source code is handed over. Larger projects are split into milestone payments.
Every proposal states a fixed price for the work it describes, agreed in writing before work starts. If the scope changes, we send a new written quote and wait for your approval before doing the extra work.
Prices exclude VAT.
Questions about this service
How do we know nothing was lost?
We compare record counts and totals on both sides, table by table, and you receive the reconciliation report before the final switch.
Can we keep working during the migration?
Yes. Trial runs use a copy. The final transfer happens at a time agreed with you, usually outside working hours.
What happens to bad or duplicate data?
We list it and propose a rule for each case. Nothing is deleted or changed without your written approval.
Which databases do you work with?
Mainly SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL, as well as Oracle, DB2, SQLite and older formats such as Access, Paradox and dBase.

Send us your file
For Access, Excel, VB6, Delphi or older .NET software, you receive a free written assessment within 48 hours of sending the file.
- Make a copy, with test data if you prefer.
- Attach it to the form or to an email, ideally as a password-protected archive with the password sent separately. If you ask, we sign an NDA first.
- Within 48 hours: the assessment and a fixed price for a pilot module.
